Under Secretary of Veterans Affairs P.W. Dunne recently sent a letter to Institutions of Higher Learning extending his gratitude for their patience and flexibility as the payments for the new Post-9/11 GI Bill begin to go out. He also provided an update on where we stand and our outlook for processing claims under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
In the letter he writes:
"We would like to thank those institutions who have policies to extend billing flexibility to Veterans, which will allow them to remain enrolled at your institution until the student’s tuition and fees payment is received from VA. This will allow Servicemembers and Veterans, as well as their Dependents to take advantage of this new educational assistance program while attending your institution. "
Please read the whole letter at the link below and be sure to pass it along to friends, family, and your school administrators.
