The Grief is...

over! or is it? I finally received my money after a lot of calling and begging about but there are still a lot of Vets out there that have been waiting even longer than I. After calling over and over and over, waiting 3 months for my GI bill to come, going to to major dept doing so, I finally was able to talk to some one who could help me. She checked my file, like others said they did, and told me that the reason why I was not getting money is because they had notes saying that my name was wrong... I asked nicely for the person to repeat the spelling of my name... and she did... surprise surprise... the name was correct! haha yeah the name was correct. She looked into it more... then said... my account to my bank was wrong... again... repeated the information and once again... my info was correct. She went ahead and put a rush on the payment and sent the money into my account within three days.

I just do not understand what happened? what went wrong? Why did the VA NOT call and ask if my info was correct or not? WHY WHY WHY? people out there are having a hard time living especially why going to school FULL TIME and having a family to raise in an economy that does not have a lot of work. Please VA, President Obama, Politicians, and whom ever that can make things happen look into why this is happening. It is unacceptable and wrong. I, as well as millions of others have served our country with pride and would like to be rewarded with what was promised in the first place.
